Role overview
Dynamis, Inc. is hiring a Junior Criminal Analyst to support a high-visibility enforcement effort focused on safeguarding the U.S. workforce through Worksite Enforcement Unit (WSEU) operations. In this position, you will work directly with HSI special agents to review I-9 employment documents, company records, and government data sources that inform national and international worksite enforcement cases. The role is fast-moving, highly detail-oriented, and directly contributes to enforcement actions such as Notices of Inspection, Notices of Intent to Fine, and other court-approved measures. This opportunity also offers practical exposure to federal law enforcement investigations, guidance from experienced investigators, and room to progress into more advanced compliance and investigative work.
Responsibilities
- Review employer I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification forms, payroll records, corporate filings, and related employment paperwork to identify compliance issues and possible violations of federal immigration employment laws while collaborating closely with investigators.
- Search and compare information across law enforcement and commercial databases to uncover inconsistencies, trends, and anomalies that move active and emerging investigations forward.
- Prepare well-written, accurate, and supportable case summaries, analytical write-ups, and findings that can stand up to review and directly back worksite enforcement activity.
- Assist with coordination efforts that connect domestic and international investigative programs, initiatives, and partner organizations.
- Keep case files organized and complete in line with DHS/ICE privacy and data-handling requirements, helping detect potential breaches of federal employment eligibility and workplace compliance laws.
- Create briefing packets and analytical support materials for site inspections, enforcement operations, and senior leadership updates.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business administration, public administration, law, or another closely related discipline is needed.
- One to two years of relevant experience in compliance, investigations, legal support, immigration services, or a similar area is required.
- Strong analytical and research capabilities are necessary, including the ability to review and combine large amounts of documentation and data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for producing analytical documents and coordinating regularly with federal law enforcement personnel.
- Ability to handle high-volume data entry from paper records into electronic systems with accuracy, and to run database searches across law enforcement and commercial platforms for reporting purposes.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an ICE suitability determination.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with federal law enforcement or regulatory agencies, knowledge of Form I-9 compliance and E-Verify, prior exposure to HSI, ICE, or other DHS components, experience working with sensitive or law-enforcement-controlled data, and familiarity with government databases or investigative case management systems.
Additional information
This is a frontline analytical role tied to worksite enforcement investigations. The work involves close coordination with federal agents, careful handling of sensitive records, and the preparation of materials that may support formal enforcement actions.
