Role overview

We are looking for a driven Research Analyst to support a Strategy & Insights function within a fintech environment. In this role, you will turn market, competitor, and user information into practical insights that help product, growth, and leadership teams make well-informed decisions.

What you will do

Carry out structured research on fintech trends, digital banking, payments, embedded finance, and regulatory changes across APAC.
Monitor competitors and build comparison reports covering features, pricing, and market positioning.
Draft short research notes, presentations, and internal strategy materials for stakeholders.
Convert market and user data into usable recommendations for product and commercial teams.
Work closely with Product, Risk, Growth, and Strategy teams to support active initiatives.
Keep research repositories updated and follow new developments in the industry, including MAS policies, BNPL changes, and digital ID frameworks.

What we are looking for

1 to 4 years of experience in research, strategy, consulting, financial services, or a fintech-related role.
Strong commercial understanding and genuine interest in technology and innovation within financial services.
Comfort using Excel or Google Sheets and PowerPoint or Slides; familiarity with SQL or BI tools such as Tableau will be an added advantage.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex findings into clear conclusions.
Prior exposure to the Southeast Asian fintech landscape is strongly preferred.
