IT Governance Specialist

About the Role

A confidential government organization in Riyadh is seeking an IT Governance Specialist to strengthen its technology governance function. This role suits someone with solid hands-on experience across governance, compliance, and risk management in enterprise-scale environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, refine, and roll out IT governance frameworks and supporting policy documents.
• Make sure day-to-day practices align with internal controls as well as relevant industry requirements.
• Contribute to the adoption and operation of COBIT, ITIL, and ISO 27001-based practices.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity and risk stakeholders to keep governance, security, and risk efforts aligned.
• Plan and carry out recurring IT audits and governance assessments.
• Compile governance summaries and share insights and recommendations with management.
• Track IT performance indicators and look for ways to improve processes and controls.
• Assist in meeting the needs of both internal reviews and external audit activities.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar discipline is required.
• Between 3 and 8 years of relevant experience in IT governance, IT management, or GRC.
• Practical knowledge of COBIT, ITIL, and ISO 27001 is essential.
• Good understanding of governance, risk, and compliance principles and practices.
• Strong ability to analyze information and prepare clear reports.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with stakeholder management capability.
• Professional certifications in COBIT, ITIL, or ISO 27001 will be considered an advantage.
