Role overview
This position is for a Housekeeper at Cygnet Joyce Parker Hospital in Coventry. The role is centred on keeping the hospital environment clean, safe and welcoming for people receiving care. Cygnet operates across more than 150 sites in the UK and focuses on helping people improve their lives through high-quality specialist support.
The hospital is an emergency mental health service that supports adults across three wards, with the aim of helping them move as quickly and safely as possible into the most appropriate and least restrictive setting. The care model is collaborative, involving families, service users, commissioners and carers in rehabilitation and recovery.
Working pattern
You will work 40 hours each week, Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, with 1 in 5 weekends included.
Key duties
- Keep the site at a consistently high standard of cleanliness.
- Follow scheduled daily and weekly cleaning routines.
- Monitor, restock and maintain cleaning supplies, and make sure equipment remains clean and in good working order.
- Work safely and follow all relevant health and safety procedures.
- Follow Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) requirements.

Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate will be friendly, reliable, conscientious and able to communicate well. Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping or domestic work is preferred, and familiarity with COSHH is also an advantage.

Applicants who are successful will need to complete an enhanced DBS check.
