About Heidi
Heidi is creating an AI care partner designed to help clinicians keep care continuous, personal, and centered on patients. The company brings together doctors, engineers, designers, researchers, and creatives to build tools that remove administrative friction and free healthcare professionals to focus on what matters most.
In a short period of growth, Heidi has already returned more than 18 million hours to healthcare workers, supported 73 million patient visits across 116 countries, and now powers over two million patient visits every week. With close to $100 million in funding, the business is expanding across the US, UK, Canada, and Europe and works with major health systems such as the NHS, Beth Israel Lahey Health, and Monash Health.
Role Overview
As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the accuracy and strength of Heidi Health’s finance operations across multiple global entities. You will lead the month-end close, maintain financial controls, oversee statutory reporting, and manage the multi-entity accounting function.
You will also lead and develop the accounting team, improve systems and processes, and make sure the finance infrastructure can keep up with a company that is growing rapidly month after month. In partnership with the AR Operations Manager, FP&A Manager, and FinOps and Systems Lead, you will help shape a finance function built for scale. This role is expected to make practical use of AI tools to improve accuracy, speed, and efficiency in finance operations.
This opportunity suits someone who has run an accounting function end to end and wants to do it again in a fast-moving environment. If you have built controls, managed close processes across multiple entities, and understand what strong controllership looks like in a high-growth SaaS business, this role may be a strong fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full month-end and year-end close process across all Heidi entities, ensuring work is accurate, timely, and continuously improved.
- Manage, coach, and develop the accounting team while setting clear standards and accountability.
- Maintain a strong financial control framework across a multi-entity, multi-currency structure, including reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and review of journal entries.
- Prepare accurate monthly management reports, financial statements, and variance analysis for senior leadership and the board.
- Take ownership of statutory reporting and ensure compliance with IFRS and the relevant local GAAP requirements in each jurisdiction.
- Coordinate tax and regulatory requirements such as GST/VAT, payroll tax, and corporate compliance with support from external advisers.
- Work with the AR Operations Manager to ensure revenue and accounts receivable data is correctly reflected in the general ledger and reporting outputs.
- Partner with the FinOps and Systems Lead to improve ERP workflows, system integrations, and finance automation.
- Support audit activity and manage relationships with external auditors.
- Identify and deliver process improvements that reduce manual work, strengthen data quality, and help the finance function scale efficiently.
Requirements
- CA or CPA qualification.
- At least 7 years of experience in financial accounting, audit, or controllership, including 2 or more years in a controller or senior accounting position.
- Experience from a Big 4 firm along with exposure to a SaaS or high-growth technology environment is preferred.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, especially with IFRS and multi-entity, multi-currency operations.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team.
- Comfort working in an ERP environment where data may not be perfect, with the ability to build effective controls around maturing systems.
- High ownership mindset and initiative; able to run the function independently without waiting for direction.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and stakeholder management ability.
- Interest in, or experience with, AI and automation in financial operations.
Working Style

- The role is part of an environment that values safety, reliability, accountability, quick execution, and continuous improvement.
