Role Summary
The Educational Consultant position is a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi. In this role, you will support students and their families in exploring international higher education options and help them choose programs, institutions, and routes that fit their academic background and career aspirations.
The job includes student consultations, profile evaluation, guidance on applications, and detailed support on admission criteria, funding possibilities, and visa procedures. You will also plan and conduct information sessions, workshops, and outreach initiatives, while keeping accurate records and staying connected with both prospective and existing students. Close coordination with internal teams and overseas partners will be part of the role to ensure information stays current and students receive responsive, personalized support.
Responsibilities
- Advise students and families on international higher education choices.
- Review student profiles and suggest suitable academic and career pathways.
- Guide applicants on program selection, institutional fit, and application planning.
- Share clear information on admission requirements, scholarship or funding options, and visa steps.
- Conduct one-on-one consultations and maintain follow-up communication with students.
- Organize and lead presentations, workshops, and outreach activities.
- Maintain organized records of student interactions and application progress.
- Work with internal teams and global partners to keep program details accurate and up to date.
- Deliver student-focused service that is responsive, empathetic, and solution-oriented.
Requirements
- Background in educational consulting, academic advising, counseling, or a related advisory role.
- Good understanding of education systems, especially international higher education.
- Strong spoken and written communication skills for working with varied audiences.
- Excellent customer service mindset with a supportive approach toward students and families.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, International Relations, or a similar discipline.
- Ability to work across cultures and communicate effectively in diverse settings.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities.
- Comfort using standard office tools and CRM systems.
- Capacity to work collaboratively in a busy, fast-moving environment.
- Prior exposure to academic advising, career counseling, or international education consulting will be a strong advantage.
