This opening is for exceptional data scientists who can contribute to machine learning-focused work on a contract basis. The role is remote and requires a commitment of 20 to 40 hours per week. Compensation is set at $60 to $100 per hour.
What you'll do
- Plan experiments and collect data to support machine learning use cases.
- Clean, prepare, and examine large datasets to develop predictive models.
- Assess and enhance AI models using TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Partner with engineering teams to take solutions into production.
- Draft, check, and verify prompt-based questions used for AI system training.
- Work autonomously and asynchronously while meeting deadlines and improving model outcomes.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in data science or applied analytics.
- Strong hands-on ability in Python and Jupyter notebooks.
- Practical experience with libraries such as NumPy, pandas, SciPy, SymPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
- A bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a related subject from the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, the UK, or Australia.
- Solid grounding in exploratory data analysis, statistical inference, machine learning pipelines, model assessment, feature engineering, data preparation, data wrangling, A/B testing, experimentation, or causal inference.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Careful attention to detail.
