Role overview
This entry-level, part-time remote position supports data-informed decisions across both editorial and commercial teams at HZwei – Das Wasserstoff-Magazin. The work centers on gathering, organizing, and interpreting information related to readership, site performance, and developments in the hydrogen and renewable energy markets.
What you will do
On a regular basis, you will bring together data from several sources such as audience metrics, website analytics, and market research reports. You will study patterns to turn them into practical insights on audience behavior, article performance, and industry trends, then share your findings through short reports, dashboards, or summaries. You will also work with editors, marketing, and sales teams to convert those insights into suggestions for content strategy, audience growth, and partner outreach. In addition, you will support data accuracy, record basic methods, and help refine internal reporting workflows.
Qualifications and background
The role calls for strong analytical ability and a solid foundation in data analysis to make sense of both numbers and qualitative information. Experience or academic exposure to market research and customer insight is helpful for understanding audience needs and behavior. You should be able to communicate clearly in writing and speech, especially when explaining complex findings in a simple, structured, and neutral way to non-technical colleagues. Interest in, or introductory knowledge of, hydrogen, renewable energy, or cleantech is important, along with a readiness to learn quickly. Comfort with spreadsheets and basic analytics or visualization tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, or Google Analytics is expected. You should also be capable of working on your own in a remote setup, managing time well, juggling multiple tasks, and paying close attention to detail. A relevant academic background in data science, economics, business, social sciences, engineering, or a related area is preferred, whether completed or still underway. Curiosity, openness to feedback, and a commitment to ethical, non-discriminatory, and inclusive data practices are also part of the profile.
