Role overview

NETS is looking for an L1 Application Monitoring Officer to support the Technology Division and IT Operations function in Singapore. This role focuses on keeping BCS applications and infrastructure running reliably, securely, and in line with regulatory requirements. The position plays a key part in the Network Operating Centre (NOC) and supports the day-to-day continuity of core services.

The Technology Division manages the operations, upkeep, and support of applications and critical systems including FAST, Giro, CTS, PayNow, SGQR, TFR, and eGIRO. The IT Operations team serves as the operational backbone, handling data centre activities, monitoring, incident coordination, and system support to ensure stable service delivery.

What you will do

• Carry out hourly checks of services and systems.
• Support onsite activities at an external data centre whenever needed.
• Review application batch logs at the first level to identify any unusual or error messages.
• Keep track of system health through the Central Monitoring System and application logs.
• Log and escalate incidents when hardware issues or possible hardware faults are detected so they can be resolved.
• Offer first-line support to L2 teams for business-related requirements.
• Complete all batch, operational, and checklist-based duties assigned to the role.
• Run L1 test activities such as routine batch executions, weekend system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

What we are looking for

• A diploma in Information Technology or a closely related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience working in data centre operations.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
• Hands-on familiarity with operating systems, including Windows and Linux.
• Availability to work rotating 24/7 shifts.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• A cooperative mindset with strong team spirit.

Working arrangement

This is a full-time onsite position based in Singapore.
