Role Overview

This is a remote contract opportunity for a Data Annotation Generalist focused on preparing high-quality datasets for machine learning use cases. The role pays $20 per hour and is expected to involve 10 to 40 hours of work each week.

Key Responsibilities

Apply labels, categories, and annotations to a variety of datasets with a high level of consistency and accuracy.
Check existing annotations, verify their correctness, and make fixes where needed to preserve data quality.
Work closely with the client’s team to understand task requirements and clear up any unclear instructions.
Keep written records of annotation methods and decisions so the project remains transparent and easy to track.
Share suggestions that can improve annotation tools, workflows, and guidance documents.
Adjust quickly to different annotation projects, data formats, and changing task instructions.

Requirements

Prior hands-on experience in data annotation, data labeling, or preparing datasets for machine learning work.
Very strong attention to detail and a consistent focus on accuracy and quality.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to collaborate clearly and effectively.
Ability to understand complicated instructions and apply them reliably across large volumes of data.
Familiarity with annotation tools or platforms commonly used in AI or data science workflows.
