Role Overview
BCforward is seeking a Data Analyst III to join the Client Data Services team in New York, NY. This is a 9-month contract position with a hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite at Hudson Yards.
The role is set to begin as soon as possible. Candidates must already have authorization to work in the United States and must not require sponsorship.
In this position, you will work alongside Data Analysts, Product Managers, Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Data Engineers to strengthen growth initiatives, improve the reliability of data, and turn complex information into practical business recommendations. The work combines analytical problem-solving with direct impact on business expansion and customer support efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with product, engineering, and data science partners to clarify business needs and translate them into actionable analytical outputs.
- Create, support, and improve data pipelines, ETL workflows, and data models.
- Pull, investigate, and interpret large datasets using SQL, Python, and related tools.
- Build and update dashboards and reporting tools that help teams make informed decisions.
- Maintain high standards for data quality, privacy, security, compliance, and operational performance across assigned datasets.
- Contribute analytics and reporting support for monetization, contactability, and client data programs.
- Coordinate with offshore teams to handle and complete data change requests efficiently.
- Deliver recommendations and strategic insights that help improve business growth and operations.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical discipline is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in data analysis, analytics, or business intelligence is expected.
- Strong SQL skills, including experience working with large datasets and non-relational databases, are necessary.
- Advanced Python programming capability is required.
- Practical experience with ETL processes and data modeling is needed.
- Demonstrated ability to generate insights, define metrics, and provide business recommendations is important.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical audiences, are required.
- You should be able to think strategically about complex business challenges and develop practical solutions.
Additional Information
Location: New York, NY, with a hybrid arrangement requiring 3 onsite days each week at Hudson Yards.
Duration: 9 months.
Start: Immediate start preferred.
