Role overview

This remote contract opportunity is for a Credit Analyst focused on global credit. Working in CST hours, you will help safeguard the company’s financial position while supporting growth across both domestic and international business. The role centers on reviewing customer credit strength, controlling credit exposure, and applying global credit standards consistently. You will work closely with Sales, Finance, and Operations to make balanced decisions that support business objectives without taking on unnecessary risk.

Responsibilities

Evaluate credit risk for both new and existing customers in North America and overseas markets by reviewing financial statements, credit bureau information, payment behavior, and industry trends.
Set and recommend credit limits and payment terms that align with worldwide credit policy and the organization’s acceptable risk level.
Track customer portfolios for any deterioration in financial health, flag increased risk when needed, and take steps to reduce potential losses.
Work with Sales, Finance, and Operations to help release orders on time and resolve issues tied to customer credit.
Keep credit records complete, accurate, and ready for audit while following internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Help improve credit policies, procedures, and risk evaluation methods to create more consistent and efficient global processes.
Build and share credit risk reports and analysis covering exposure patterns, aging data, and early warning indicators.
Support process improvement in the Global Credit team through effective use of systems, data analysis, and workflow optimization.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another relevant discipline.
At least 2 to 4 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or financial risk work.
Strong ability to analyze data and build financial models, with confidence in reviewing detailed financial information and judging risk.
Good decision-making skills and the judgment to balance risk control with business needs.
Clear communication, stakeholder handling, negotiation, and persuasive skills.
Well-developed organization and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving global environment.
Experience using ERP platforms, with SAP as a plus.
Advanced Excel knowledge, including analysis and reporting functions.
Familiarity with reporting tools and dashboard-based analytics.
Preferred: understanding of international credit practices, including trade finance tools and region-specific risk factors.
Preferred: experience working with multinational clients and varied regulatory environments.
Preferred: background in industrial, energy, or equipment manufacturing sectors.
