Role overview

Brian Perry Civil is seeking a hands-on construction worker to join a specialist piling and ground engineering crew in Wellington. This is a physical, practical role on major infrastructure projects, offering the chance to develop your capability while contributing to important civil works across New Zealand.

What you will do

• Support piling teams and site plant, including piling rigs and cranes.
• Help carry out bored piling, driven piling, anchor installation, and ground improvement activities.
• Assist with rigging, lifting operations, concrete pumping, and placing reinforcement.
• Set up worksites and help keep day-to-day operations moving smoothly.
• Work alongside operators, foremen, and engineers to deliver the job safely and efficiently.
• Help maintain a disciplined, safety-focused site environment.

What we are looking for

The team is open to both experienced piling workers and general construction workers who are ready to take the next step.

• Background in civil construction, piling, drilling, or heavy groundworks.
• Consistent reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to contribute to the team.
• Good understanding of health and safety on active construction sites.
• Comfort working near machinery and heavy plant.
• Class 1 licence; WTR or Class 2 and above would be an advantage.
• Practical, hands-on approach and an eagerness to learn.
