Role Summary

This full-time, on-site position is based in Patna, Bihar, and focuses on driving sales through direct customer interaction and in-store support. The person in this role will welcome shoppers, learn what they need, and suggest suitable products to help increase sales. The job also includes arranging displays, maintaining stocked and tidy shelves, handling simple billing or cash duties, keeping the shop clean and inviting, and coordinating with the owner or manager on promotional efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and respond to their questions in a clear, polite manner.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend products that match their needs.
• Support sales growth by explaining product benefits and suggesting add-on items when suitable.
• Maintain attractive, organized product displays and ensure shelves are well stocked.
• Process basic billing and cash transactions accurately, using POS or simple billing tools if available.
• Track sales activity and work toward agreed sales goals or targets.
• Assist with inventory checks, stock counts, and restocking activities.
• Help keep the store neat, clean, and welcoming for customers.
• Work with the store owner or manager on promotions and day-to-day store operations.

Required Qualifications

• Good customer service ability, with polite communication and the skill to understand customer needs.
• Basic sales aptitude and comfort working in a commission-based setup.
• Ability to explain product features clearly and support upselling when appropriate.
• Accuracy in handling cash and basic billing tasks, including simple POS or record-keeping systems if used.
• Strong organization skills to manage shelf arrangement, stock rotation, and inventory support.
• Dependable, honest, and willing to follow store rules while working full-time shifts.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
• Prior experience in retail or a general store is helpful but not required.
• Comfort working on-site in a busy shop environment and standing for long periods, with the ability to do light lifting and stocking work.
