About the role
Team Global Express New Zealand provides freight forwarding, end-to-end transport, and logistics services across the country, from Kaitaia through to Invercargill. The Christchurch branch is looking for a Class 5 Driver to support collections and deliveries for one of its major customers.
This is a Monday to Friday position, with an approximate 6:00 am start. The job focuses on moving freight safely and on time while helping the business meet its delivery targets.
Key responsibilities
- Handle freight carefully during loading and unloading, using hand loading or a forklift when needed.
- Make sure freight arrives without damage.
- Scan every item you handle.
- Complete pickups and deliveries punctually and in full.
- Follow all safety rules, procedures, and site processes.
- Drive the vehicle in a lawful and safe manner at all times.
- Keep the truck clean and presentable inside and out.
Required experience and skills
- Current full New Zealand Class 5 licence.
- Dangerous Goods endorsement.
- Forklift licence with OSH certificate.
- Previous driving experience on New Zealand roads.
- Strong customer service mindset.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
