Role overview
This opportunity is with a respected Irish insurer that is expanding its motor claims team. The position is based in Dublin, Ireland with a hybrid arrangement that requires two days per week on site. The role reports to the Claims Manager and offers a salary range of €34,000 to €40,000. Candidates who already have claims experience or broader insurance experience are encouraged to apply, and full training will be provided.
Key duties
- Take responsibility for motor claims from initial report through to closure, including information gathering, liability assessment, and settlement within delegated authority.
- Act as the primary contact for customers, brokers, and service partners, supporting them clearly and professionally throughout the claims process.
- Use sound judgement in decision-making, identify possible indicators of fraud, and maintain precise case records.
- Collaborate with colleagues to manage workload and help maintain a constructive team atmosphere.
- Work with loss adjusters, solicitors, and other external parties whenever required.
- Participate in training sessions, projects, and ongoing improvement activities.
Candidate profile
- Prior experience in claims handling or in the insurance sector, whether with a broker or insurer.
- APA (Personal & Commercial) or CIP qualification is mandatory.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with solid organisational ability.
- A problem-solving mindset and a customer-focused approach.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to work well within a team.
