Role overview

Qatar Airways is looking for an experienced Boeing Captain to join its flight operations team in Qatar. The role is intended for seasoned Type Rated Captains with relevant multi-crew, multi-engine airline experience and current qualifications on the specified Boeing aircraft.

Experience and licence requirements

• You must have at least 6,000 hours of total flying time on multi-crew, multi-engine commercial airline operations on a jet aircraft with a maximum take-off weight of 50,000 kg or more.
• Applicants need either 2,000 hours or more as Pilot in Command on multi-crew, multi-engine commercial airline operations on a jet with MTOW of 50,000 kg or higher, or 1,000 hours or more as PIC on the same category of aircraft while currently operating B777, B787, or B747-400 (including 400F/-8/-8F).
• A minimum of 500 hours as PIC is required on one or more of the following aircraft types: B787, B777, B767, B757, B747-400 (including 400F/-8/-8F), or B737NG/MAX.
• You should hold a current ICAO ATPL with a valid instrument rating on one of the listed aircraft types.
• A Class 1 medical certificate issued by the same authority is required, and it must remain valid for at least 2 months after the starting date if you are selected.
• English language proficiency at level 4 or above is mandatory.
• Your most recent flight on any of the listed aircraft types must have taken place within the last 12 months.
