Role overview

This is a contract, on-site position in Doha, Qatar for a BIM Modeler HVAC. The role focuses on creating, updating, and coordinating detailed HVAC BIM models in line with project requirements, BIM protocols, and ISO 19650 expectations.

Key responsibilities

The selected professional will interpret HVAC design drawings, build and revise 3D models, and coordinate model development with other disciplines. The position also includes clash detection, preparation of model-based drawings and schedules, support for design reviews, implementation of revisions, and close collaboration with BIM coordinators, project engineers, and site teams.

Maintaining accurate model data, ensuring documentation remains reliable for construction and facilities management, and contributing to the ongoing refinement of BIM workflows are also part of the job.

Qualifications and requirements

Applicants should have strong hands-on experience with HVAC BIM authoring and coordination tools such as Autodesk Revit and Navisworks, along with the ability to develop and manage detailed 3D models. A sound understanding of HVAC system design is required, including ductwork, piping, equipment placement, and coordination with architectural and structural elements.

Candidates need experience working within BIM standards and structured data environments, preferably under ISO 19650, including naming conventions, model organization, and data control. They should also be comfortable identifying clashes, resolving coordination issues with multidisciplinary teams, and producing accurate drawings and documentation from models.

A relevant technical background in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a similar discipline is preferred, and vocational or professional BIM/HVAC certifications are considered an advantage. Prior experience in a BIM Modeler, HVAC Draftsperson, or similar role on large building or infrastructure projects, ideally in the GCC region, is desirable.

Strong attention to detail, the ability to work under deadlines in a fast-moving project setting, problem-solving capability, and effective English communication skills are essential.

This role is based in Doha and requires on-site attendance. The position is offered on a contract basis.
