Position Summary
The Assistant Store Manager role is based in Invermere, British Columbia and reports to the District Manager. This position supports day-to-day store operations, helps keep the store clean and customer-friendly, and assists in leading the team to deliver a positive retail experience.
What You Will Do
- Open and shut the store as required.
- Step in to manage the store and guide the team when the Store Manager is unavailable.
- Deliver strong customer service and handle questions and requests at the register and throughout the store.
- Receive, organize, and replenish merchandise.
- Build and maintain window setups, in-store displays, and signage.
- Carry out cycle counts in a timely manner.
- Handle returns, pricing updates, and markdowns.
- Help recruit, train, and build schedules for Associates and Keyholders.
- Prepare reports and payroll submissions for head office.
- Escalate loss prevention, health and safety, and damage-related incidents.
- Keep daily tour book entries and store task delegation up to date.
- Complete bank deposits.
- Manage daily paperwork and email correspondence.
Qualifications and Experience
- 2 to 3 years of retail experience.
- Strong customer service capability.
- Comfort working both independently and collaboratively in a changing environment.
- Ability to handle a fast-moving workplace with multiple priorities.
- Well-developed organization and time management skills.
- Availability for evening and weekend shifts.
