About the role
Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is hiring an Accountant-General for its Makkah location in Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time, non-management finance and accounting position based in Kudai Road, Makkah.
What you will do
- Review figures, postings, and supporting records to confirm they are entered correctly, mathematically accurate, and coded properly.
- Keep files, records, cash, and cash equivalents organized and secure in line with company procedures.
- Work with computerized financial data by recording, storing, retrieving, and analyzing it when needed.
- Maintain accurate digital spreadsheets for accounting and financial information.
- Sort, code, and summarize financial and numerical information for journals, ledgers, and computer-based records.
- Prepare, maintain, and circulate reports and tables related to statistics, finance, accounting, auditing, or payroll.
- Carry out end-of-period closing tasks and prepare required closing reports.
- Prepare, check, reconcile, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements according to company standards.
- Follow all company policies and procedures while maintaining professionalism in appearance, communication, and conduct.
- Protect confidential information, company assets, and the privacy and security of guests and colleagues.
- Respond to guest requests in a courteous, prompt, and professional manner.
- Use clear, professional language in spoken and written communication, including phone calls and emails.
- Handle physical tasks such as moving or carrying objects up to 10 pounds without assistance when required.
- Build positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to coworkers’ concerns.
- Complete other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED-equivalent is preferred.
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience is required.
- No prior supervisory experience is needed.
- No license or certification is required.
