3D Designer

About the Role

LA (Lindeman & Associates) is hiring an experienced 3D Designer to join its Brand Design team for a contract assignment that can last up to 12 months. The engagement may finish earlier than planned or shift into a full-time position, depending on project requirements and performance. This role supports the creation of high-impact visual assets for a major client, collaborating closely with designers, production artists, and producers to build and adapt custom 3D work for large-scale audience experiences.

This is a hybrid opportunity based in Culver City, CA, with on-site attendance required from Tuesday through Thursday.

What You’ll Do

• Create new product concepts in 3D from rough sketches and reference material, working with both rigid and soft forms.
• Bring CAD files into 3D tools, then refine them for lighting, materials, and texturing.
• Explore and develop new approaches that support related digital and packaging workflows.
• Produce polished renders and animations for executive-level presentations.
• Help improve packaging design workflows by setting up a KeyShot pipeline that speeds up development.

What You Need

• Strong hands-on experience with KeyShot, Cinema 4D with Redshift, and CAD software.
• Deep knowledge of lighting and texturing, backed by a portfolio that shows refined, high-quality work.
• Excellent visual judgment in graphic design, image making in Photoshop, layout, and typography.
• Strong sense of composition, visual hierarchy, and attention to fine detail.
• Background working with fashion, culture, and/or sports brands.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with a collaborative, team-first approach.
• Motion design or animation experience in After Effects is a plus.
• Presentation design skills are also beneficial.
• Exposure to Gemini or similar AI tools is nice to have.

Compensation

The role pays $50 to $65 per hour. Final pay may differ based on qualifications, location, relevant experience, and education.

Contract Details

This is a hybrid contract assignment expected to continue for up to 12 months, with the possibility of ending sooner or converting to a permanent role depending on business needs and performance.

Physical Demands

• Long periods of seated desk work focused on modeling, rendering, and production tasks.
• Regular verbal and written communication during meetings, creative reviews, and cross-functional collaboration.
• May require standing while presenting renders, animations, or product visuals to internal stakeholders or clients.
• High level of visual precision is needed for lighting, textures, materials, and spatial accuracy in 3D work.
• Frequent use of 3D and design software such as KeyShot, Cinema 4D with Redshift, CAD tools, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to juggle multiple creative tasks, rendering schedules, and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
