About Circit
Circit is a rapidly expanding B2B SaaS business focused on making business verification possible in real time. The company is building a global asset verification platform that helps auditors perform stronger financial audits and spend more time creating value for economic stakeholders. Its customer base includes major accountancy firms and global banking institutions.
The Verified Transactions (VT) product links audit firms and their corporate clients directly with banking APIs, allowing secure, real-time validation of financial information from leading banks worldwide. Circit is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland as an AISP under PSD2, by the UK Financial Conduct Authority, and is accredited by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission for open banking. The company works with clients such as JP Morgan, HSBC, Goldman Sachs, and Santander.
Role overview
Circit is seeking a Provider Operations Analyst to manage the daily performance and reliability of its banking API provider network, which currently includes more than 7,000 providers and continues to grow. In this role, you will help keep bank connections healthy, ensure new providers are launched smoothly, and spot problems before they affect clients.
This position goes beyond standard support work. You will serve as Circit's point of contact with banking partners, coordinating communication between clients, banks, and the internal development team. You will also monitor API connectivity across a large provider ecosystem, where thousands of endpoints generate millions of transactions and require close attention to data quality signals. The role calls for strong data orientation and confidence using AI tools as everyday productivity aids to stay ahead of a fast-changing provider environment.
You will work between product support and the product team, spending around 20% to 30% of your time with product to provide operational insight that helps shape roadmap decisions. The role reports to the Product Director and works closely with the Head of Bank API Platform. It is well suited to someone early in their career who is interested in fintech, comfortable working with data, and eager to build expertise in open banking and banking API infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor provider API health across more than 50 banking connections, keeping track of data quality, response times, and connection status, and taking action when unusual patterns appear.
- Investigate anomalies such as slower authorisation times on high-volume providers, and maintain accurate real-time status updates for support, customer success, and product teams.
- Manage the SWIFT exception queue by resolving repair cases and coordinating with banks or clients to remove blockers.
- Handle verification workflows across SWIFT, Plaid, Blink, and other connectivity channels while keeping provider records accurate and up to date.
- Support the launch of new bank connections by coordinating between engineering teams and bank technical contacts to ensure go-lives run smoothly.
- Maintain the provider database, including coverage information, authentication methods, product support details, and connection status.
- Provide hypercare after go-live for clients using newly activated bank connections and create clear authorization guides for them.
- Act as the operational link when clients face provider-specific issues, communicating with banks on their behalf to help resolve problems.
- Spend a portion of time with the product team, sharing operational insights that influence roadmap decisions and highlighting patterns that suggest product improvements.
- Help define data quality standards and create documentation for admin tools so the wider team can use them effectively.
- Develop and maintain playbooks for provider monitoring, exception handling, and activation workflows.
- Spot recurring issues and suggest ways to automate or improve processes, contributing to a more self-service provider management model for support and customer success teams.
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of experience in operations, technical support, implementation, or a similar function, ideally within fintech, SaaS, banking, or technology.
- A strong data-focused approach, with the ability to work from dashboards, metrics, and trends, interpret monitoring information, identify anomalies in large datasets, and investigate root causes; basic SQL or data querying is a plus.
- Strong comfort using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar as part of daily work for analysis, drafting, triage, and automation, while still applying independent judgment to the output.
- Working knowledge of APIs, including REST concepts, OAuth, webhooks, and authentication flows, with enough understanding to follow how bank API connectivity operates.
- Excellent written communication skills for professional interaction with bank technical teams, internal colleagues, and client-facing stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to spot issues early and take ownership through to resolution.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to handle several provider relationships and workflows at once.
Preferred experience
- Background in open banking, bank connectivity, or financial services operations.
- Familiarity with SWIFT messaging, bank connectivity protocols, or API aggregation platforms.
- Experience using observability or monitoring tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Azure Monitor, or similar.
- Exposure to ticketing systems such as Jira, Intercom, Zendesk, or DevOps tools.
- Understanding of data quality concepts and how to interpret DQ metrics across large datasets.
- Experience on the bank side or fintech side of banking/API connectivity operations.
- Interest in moving toward product management in the future.
Benefits and work environment
This is a strong opportunity for a motivated generalist who wants hands-on exposure in a fast-growing company. Circit aims to treat employees well and is open to discussing needs that are important to candidates, even if not explicitly listed.
- Competitive base pay with commission tied to sales contracts, and potential equity participation.
- Small-team environment with a friendly culture and a high degree of autonomy.
- Remote work and flexible working hours.
- Strong scope for career growth through practical, hands-on experience.
- Encouragement of open expression and candid communication.
