Role Summary
This is a full-time remote position for a Vendor and Procurement Coordinator. The role is responsible for handling purchasing activities and maintaining strong vendor relationships in support of construction projects. The coordinator manages the end-to-end procurement process, which includes identifying suppliers, collecting and comparing quotations, and preparing purchase orders that align with project scope, budget, and timelines.
On a daily basis, the position involves monitoring deliveries, addressing order issues or mismatches, keeping procurement documentation accurate and up to date, and working closely with project managers and finance teams to secure timely and cost-efficient purchases. The role also includes evaluating vendor performance, negotiating commercial terms and pricing, and reviewing procurement data to strengthen processes and improve overall operational effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in procurement and purchasing, including purchase order management and supplier coordination.
- Strong analytical ability to assess quotations, compare supplier options, and support cost-aware decision-making.
- Clear communication skills for coordinating with vendors, project teams, and internal departments.
- Background in construction or a closely related field, with awareness of materials, services, and project schedules.
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote setup, juggle several priorities, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Well-developed organization and documentation habits, with a strong focus on accuracy and detail.
- Comfort with procurement systems or ERP tools, spreadsheets, and digital reporting/tracking platforms.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a similar discipline preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
