Role Overview
Gulftainer is hiring a Training Manager to oversee learning and development activities across the organization. This position is based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, and is focused on building capability, improving compliance, and ensuring training programs deliver measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and roll out the annual training plan for the business.
- Manage the learning budget and look for ways to control and optimize costs.
- Carry out training needs analysis across different business functions.
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver both in-house and external training programs.
- Visit operational locations to identify skill and capability gaps and support learning initiatives on the ground.
- Track training completion, compliance, and overall effectiveness.
- Develop relationships with training vendors and negotiate commercial agreements.
- Prepare training reports and suggest improvements for ongoing development.
Requirements
- 7 to 10 years of experience in Learning & Development or training roles.
- Proven background in managing annual training plans and budgets.
- Strong experience in training needs analysis and implementing learning programs.
- Comfortable taking a hands-on approach and delivering training when required.
- Prepared to travel frequently to terminals, operating sites, and overseas locations to understand business requirements and support teams directly.
- Experience handling external training vendors and maintaining training records.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Practical, proactive, and focused on execution.
