Role overview
This position focuses on shaping and governing the enterprise data landscape with a strong emphasis on security, integration, and regulatory compliance. The architect will help define the standards, models, and architecture practices that support digital transformation and enterprise-wide data use.
Key responsibilities
- Build and continuously refine the enterprise data architecture along with the underlying data models.
- Set standards for data governance, metadata management, master data management, and the full data lifecycle.
- Create the architecture approach for enterprise integrations, APIs, and data exchange mechanisms.
- Make sure data architecture stays aligned with enterprise architecture and broader digital transformation goals.
- Incorporate security-by-design principles into all data architecture decisions.
- Maintain compliance with Saudi regulatory and architectural requirements, including DGA, NORA, SDAIA, NDMO, NCA, ECC, and PDPL.
- Take part in architecture review boards and work closely with business, cybersecurity, and technology stakeholders.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another closely related discipline is required; a master's degree is preferred.
- At least 8 years of experience in enterprise data architecture or enterprise architecture roles.
- Deep knowledge of information architecture and enterprise-level data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with data governance, metadata management, and master data management.
- Solid background in API architecture and system integration design.
- Working knowledge of data warehousing, ETL/ELT workflows, SQL, and analytics platforms.
- Understanding of security-by-design practices and enterprise security architecture.
- Practical exposure to Saudi government architecture and cybersecurity frameworks.
- TOGAF or DAMA CDMP certification is required, or an equivalent credential; cloud and security certifications are considered an advantage.
- Experience using tools such as Sparx EA, LeanIX, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, or comparable platforms is preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Capability to drive architecture initiatives and guide technical teams.
Additional information
This is a full-time onsite role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The role places particular importance on meeting Saudi regulatory requirements and supporting secure, enterprise-wide data practices. Candidates should be comfortable working within governance-heavy environments and collaborating across multiple functions.
