Role overview

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will help design and build the next generation of AI-enabled data products and intelligence platforms. In this role, you will use strong Python skills and an AI-aware mindset to lead data ingestion, ETL, and multi-agent analytical systems. You will create scalable schemas and transformation layers that support analytics and AI agents across the UAE and other markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and support complete data ingestion and ETL workflows from source to target.
• Pull structured and unstructured information from APIs, Snowflake, Oracle, documents, and market data providers.
• Write robust Python-based services and data processing workflows ready for production.
• Run and coordinate pipelines using Kubernetes and workflow orchestration tools.
• Use clean architecture principles and sound engineering design patterns in day-to-day work.
• Design data models, schemas, and transformation layers for analytics and AI agents.
• Prepare datasets for AI and RAG use cases, including chunking, embeddings, and retrieval pipelines.

Required experience and skills

• At least 6 years of professional experience in Python development.
• At least 3 years of experience working with Kubernetes-based workloads.
• Practical experience designing and orchestrating ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Airflow, ADF, Databricks, or similar platforms.
• Hands-on exposure to RAG systems, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Experience working in Azure cloud environments.
• Background in data warehouse architecture, API integration, and database integration.

Preferred experience

• Exposure to Snowflake and Oracle environments.
• Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka or Event Hub.
• Understanding of LLM evaluation and prompt engineering.
• Experience building AI platforms or data platforms.

Location and work model

This opportunity is open only to candidates currently based in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. The role follows a hybrid schedule, with 2 to 3 days per week in the office.
