Regional Manager

About the Role

Homestead Healthcare operates senior living communities throughout Michigan and has built a strong reputation over more than 30 years in the industry. The organization is seeking a Regional Manager to support Executive Directors across its facilities and help drive operational excellence.

The territory for this role covers Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties. The position plays an important part in supporting growth, improving processes, overseeing profit and loss, and maintaining an active presence at the communities served. This is an on-call role, and coverage of open shifts is required. Prior experience managing a senior living facility is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

The Regional Manager will be responsible for strengthening programs, supporting facility operations, and ensuring compliance and performance across assigned communities.

• Build, enhance, or broaden corporate and facility-level programs.
• Review daily operations, including budget adherence, clinical services, and regulatory compliance.
• Attract, select, develop, and keep high-performing teams through coaching, training, and accountability.
• Step into vacant shifts when needed and remain available for on-call support.
• Spot regional opportunities early and put corrective action plans in place before issues escalate.
• Use strong judgment and ownership to solve problems quickly and effectively.
• Address facility requests and operational needs so sites remain functional and well maintained.
• Lead the regional operational team.
• Ensure facilities follow corporate directives and implement company programs consistently.
• Guide regional office support staff in their day-to-day work.
• Create and improve policies and procedures for the facilities.
• Represent the organization and its communities at industry events and support community outreach efforts.
• Oversee program development, budgeting, regulatory adherence, recruiting, staff coaching, and employee relations.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of operations experience in the healthcare sector.
• Minimum 2 years of experience managing HFA/AFC licensed communities.
• Demonstrated ability to organize work effectively and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness and ability to travel as much as 75% of the week.
• Strong computer proficiency.
• Experience managing a senior living facility is required.
• Must be able to work on-call and cover open shifts as needed.

Work Location and Schedule

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Southfield, Michigan, with regional travel across Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties. The role requires on-call availability and the ability to provide shift coverage when necessary.
