Quality Audit Engineer - Field Role

About the role

This position is an off-roll role deputed by Quess Corp Ltd for field-based quality auditing work at project sites in Karimnagar.

What you will do

• Carry out scheduled civil quality checks at project locations in line with company norms and project specifications.
• Examine civil works including foundations, structural activities, concreting, excavation, backfilling, and finishing stages.
• Review tower-related work and evaluate structural soundness, alignment, and construction quality.
• Cross-check work against approved drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and applicable IS codes.
• Assess the quality of materials used, workmanship, and on-site construction methods.
• Spot deviations, document audit findings, and suggest practical corrective measures.
• Track the progress of corrective and preventive action closure.
• Create detailed audit reports with observations, supporting photos, and key findings.
• Confirm compliance with safety rules, statutory requirements, and quality processes.
• Work with project teams, contractors, and vendors to close quality issues.
• Keep accurate records and maintain all required quality documentation.
• Assist with internal as well as external quality audits whenever needed.

Candidate profile

The ideal applicant should hold a B.Tech/B.E degree in one of the relevant engineering branches and should be comfortable with site travel and independent field work. Strong understanding of civil construction quality, inspection routines, and audit practices is important.

Preferred background

• B.Tech/B.E in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Working knowledge of civil construction methods and quality benchmarks.
• Understanding of IS codes, construction safety, and audit procedures.
• Prior exposure to site inspection and audit assignments.
• Strong skills in reporting, documentation, and analysis.
• Ability to work on own initiative and travel to project sites.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
