About the role

ChargeAfter is building an embedded lending network that helps merchants and financial institutions deliver point-of-sale consumer financing through a secure, data-driven platform. The company enables financing options across online, in-store, and other point-of-sale environments so merchants can offer tailored credit choices to customers.

The organization is looking for a driven Project Manager to run complex enterprise client implementations from kickoff to launch. This role is focused on delivery ownership, coordination across teams, and close client collaboration. A major success measure is strong product usage after implementation, including higher feature adoption, deeper engagement, and faster time to value. The right candidate will be organized, communicative, accountable, and ready to grow into a more strategic delivery leadership role.

Key responsibilities

Lead full-cycle enterprise implementations, including onboarding, launch, and post-launch warranty support.

Create, maintain, and deliver detailed project plans with milestones, dependencies, and timelines.

Spot project risks and blockers early, drive resolution, and keep work aligned with scope and business goals.

Focus on outcomes and business impact, not only task completion.

Improve client product utilization by increasing adoption, engagement depth, and time-to-value.

Act as the main client contact and provide clear guidance and confidence throughout the project.

Run onboarding meetings, working sessions, and milestone reviews with stakeholders at director and executive level.

Communicate complex delivery issues in a way that is clear to both business and technical audiences.

Set expectations and maintain trust with senior client teams through transparency and consistent communication.

Work closely with internal teams such as Implementation Engineers, Product, Business Analysts, and Customer Success to align execution and outcomes.

Represent the client internally and convert business needs into delivery requirements.

Support strong cross-functional collaboration through documentation, communication, and follow-up.

Own project reporting, including status updates, risk tracking, and weekly summaries for internal and client stakeholders.

Maintain high-quality documentation such as statements of work, workback plans, and change logs.

Lead project closeout and retrospectives to identify process improvements and better customer outcomes.

Experience and qualifications

You should have 3 to 5 years of project management experience, including at least 2 years managing enterprise SaaS or software implementations.

You need to be comfortable communicating with technical stakeholders, senior business leaders, and C-suite executives.

Experience handling several projects at once, especially when there are multiple dependencies, is important.

The role suits someone who is proactive, self-directed, and able to move work forward without constant oversight.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with a polished executive presence, are expected.

Preferred background

Experience with agile or hybrid delivery methods is preferred.

Familiarity with tools such as ClickUp, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, or Jira is an advantage.

PMP, CSM, or another project management certification is a plus.

Comfort working with product roadmaps, APIs, and enterprise system integrations is helpful.

Compensation

For New York City, the expected salary range for this role is $90,000 to $120,000 per year. The position may also include additional compensation in the form of bonuses and/or stock options. Final offers depend on factors such as experience, skills, background, and business needs.
