Description de l'emploi
About the Role
Our client, a well-established logistics business, is looking for a skilled Procurement Officer to manage purchasing operations, vendor coordination, stock oversight, and spare-parts sourcing. The position supports smooth day-to-day business performance by making sure required goods, services, and materials are available on time and at the right cost.
What You Will Do
You will handle the full procurement cycle, from identifying needs and sourcing suppliers through to negotiation, ordering, and delivery tracking. The role includes buying spare parts, equipment, and operational consumables while building dependable supplier and service-provider relationships.
You will also monitor inventory, trigger replenishment when stock runs low, and help avoid interruptions to operations. In addition, you will prepare purchase orders, procurement contracts, and supplier agreements, carry out market research for new vendors and savings opportunities, maintain accurate procurement and inventory records, and work closely with warehouse, maintenance, and operations teams to plan requirements and review supplier performance.
Requirements
The role calls for someone who can work within company procurement rules, prepare reports, share recommendations with management, and contribute to process improvements. Strong analytical thinking, organization, and the ability to manage several priorities under pressure are important.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a similar field is required. The ideal candidate should bring at least 3 years of procurement experience, especially in manufacturing, logistics, stock management, and spare-parts purchasing. Hands-on exposure to sourcing mechanical, automotive, industrial, or operational spare parts is also needed.
Additional Requirements
Applicants should have solid knowledge of procurement workflows, inventory control, and stock management methods. Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office is expected. The employer is also looking for someone with strong negotiation ability, relationship management skills, integrity, attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Background in the logistics sector will be considered an advantage.
