This opportunity is for a Principal Landscape Planner to join an established Landscape Architecture team and contribute to multidisciplinary projects. The role can be based in Auckland, Wellington, or Christchurch, with a strong focus on delivering landscape planning outcomes that support wider project and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage consent submissions.
- Carry out landscape and visual assessments.
- Lead and review design work for parks, streetscapes, public realm areas, and recreational facilities.
- Support fee estimating and negotiation activities.
- Take responsibility for project management and project leadership tasks.
- Help grow landscape planning services through business development aligned to national strategies.
- Build and maintain client and account relationships to strengthen existing partnerships.
- Use networking and business development activity to expand the landscape portfolio.
Candidate Profile
- A bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a closely related discipline.
- NZILA registration.
- At least 10 years of experience in landscape architecture and planning.
- Strong experience in landscape and visual effects assessments.
- A current full driver licence with a clean record.
