Role overview
In this position, you will support the delivery of construction projects by building, maintaining, and analysing project schedules. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to keep programmes accurate, realistic, and aligned with project objectives.
Key duties
- Develop tender-stage programmes and the accompanying narrative within demanding timelines.
- Create and update detailed construction schedules using tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, or Asta Powerproject.
- Track progress against the approved baseline and carry out critical path reviews.
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to obtain reliable scheduling data.
- Spot potential risks, delays, and programme impacts, then recommend practical mitigation measures.
- Prepare concise and accurate reporting materials such as Gantt charts, S-curves, and dashboard updates.
Requirements
- Between 3 and 5 years of experience in construction planning or scheduling.
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a closely related field.
- Good understanding of Irish construction methods and contract structures, including PWC and RIAI frameworks.
- Hands-on capability with Primavera P6, MS Project, or Asta Powerproject.
- Strong analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving ability.
