Role Overview
Ecolab is hiring Pest Control Technicians to join its Pest Elimination team. In this role, you will deliver prompt, economical solutions for pest detection, removal, and prevention for an established commercial customer route. The work supports brand protection for businesses that operate around the clock, including restaurants, hotels, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, retail locations, and food and beverage processing facilities.

Key Duties
- Build productive relationships with customers and work with them to identify pest issues and apply effective best practices.
- Stay current on the company’s products, services, and market conditions to improve service delivery and sales of prevention and elimination solutions.
- Operate handheld computerized tools to record service details and document structural, sanitation, and pest-related concerns.
- Remain adaptable in a fast-paced, multitasking environment and adjust your schedule to support customers who operate at all hours.
Position Details
- The candidate must live in Summerside, Charlottetown, PEI, or a nearby area within a 45-minute commute.
- The service route covers Prince Edward Island and surrounding regions.
- Weekend coverage is required once per month, depending on business needs.
- This is a newly created role.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of work experience is preferred, though recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record, plus the ability to drive and maintain a company vehicle and equipment in good condition.
- Willingness to work overnight shifts.
- Availability for on-call duties during off-hours and weekends as needed.
- Immigration sponsorship is not available.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds (25 kilograms) at chest height.
- Comfort working in varied environments, including confined, damp, dusty, freezing, and hot conditions.
- Capability to perform essential duties such as lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, using hands/fingers, balancing, walking, standing, speaking, and hearing.
- Ability to wear a respirator.
- Must already have, or be able to obtain, the required pest certification and/or business license under applicable provincial or country law.
Preferred Experience
- Prior customer service experience.
- Ability to present and sell value-added products to existing customers.
- Previous experience in pest elimination or route-based service work is an advantage.

Compensation Range
The role pays $21.80 per hour and includes overtime eligibility. Final pay may vary based on factors such as education, training, experience, work location, and travel requirements.
