Maintenance/Housekeeping Associate - Full Time

Role overview

As a Maintenance and Housekeeping Associate, you will help create a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment that supports sales and a strong experience for both customers and associates. This is an hourly role focused on daily cleaning, light maintenance, and keeping supplies stocked and organized. A strong sense of hygiene and careful attention to detail are important in this position.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of daily priorities, personal goals, and store objectives with initiative.
• Keep the store clean across all areas by dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, cleaning mirrors, and picking up trash, hangers, and sensor tags.
• Deep-clean restrooms and the associate breakroom, including sanitizing surfaces and appliances and replenishing needed items.
• Restock register supplies such as bags, boxes, and tissue paper, and remove items that are no longer needed.
• Organize cleaning and maintenance supplies so they are easy to find and support efficient store operations.
• Help maintain a safe environment by spotting issues like spills, icy walkways, and broken glass, then addressing them quickly.
• Replace both indoor and outdoor lights to keep the store properly lit.
• Use training materials, tools, and feedback to improve knowledge of procedures and strengthen job performance.
• Stay current on products, promotions, policies, and store events to support accurate execution.
• Build a positive team environment by connecting with coworkers, sharing knowledge, and recognizing individual and team wins.
• Support the customer experience by greeting and helping shoppers, especially during busy periods, and completing other assigned tasks.
• Follow asset protection practices, safety rules, and security procedures to support shortage control and reduce risk.
