Logistics Coordinator

About the role

Gulf Orchid Perfume Manufacturing is hiring a meticulous and proactive Logistics Coordinator to support its Operations function in Umm al-Quwain, United Arab Emirates. This role focuses on keeping logistics activities running smoothly, maintaining precise inventory records, and ensuring that company procedures and UAE regulations are followed through effective ERP usage.

Role summary

The position is best suited to professionals with 2 to 4 years of experience in logistics and supply chain work inside a manufacturing setup, ideally with exposure to perfume, cosmetics, or FMCG operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and track the movement of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished products entering and leaving the facility, using ERP tools.
• Process goods receipts, issues, stock transfers, and delivery entries in the ERP system to keep inventory records accurate and reliable.
• Work with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transport providers to secure punctual and economical transportation.
• Ensure safe storage, correct handling, and system-based tracking of perfumes, fragrance oils, alcohol-containing materials, glass packaging, and other delicate items.
• Carry out periodic physical stock audits, compare results with ERP balances, and investigate or correct any mismatches.
• Review inventory levels through ERP reports and partner with Procurement to support timely replenishment of materials.
• Handle returns, damaged items, and non-compliant goods in coordination with Warehouse and Quality teams, while updating ERP records accordingly.
• Collaborate with Production, Sales, Procurement, Quality, and Finance teams to maintain seamless operations and dependable system data.
• Arrange customer delivery timelines and support on-time order completion with complete documentation in the system.
• Make sure hazardous or flammable items are labelled, documented, and entered correctly in ERP in line with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Support adherence to UAE import and export processes, customs rules, and internal audit expectations by ensuring every logistics transaction is properly recorded.

Qualifications and requirements

• 2 to 4 years of experience in logistics or supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment.
• Practical experience using ERP systems for inventory, logistics, and warehouse operations.
• Background in perfume, cosmetics, fragrance, or FMCG manufacturing is an added advantage.
• Working knowledge of UAE import/export procedures and customs compliance.
• Strong organizational ability with a careful approach to detail.
• High levels of accuracy, attention to detail, and time management.
• Capability to work independently and perform well under pressure.
• Immediate availability is required; candidates should be on a visit visa or cancelled visa.
