Description de l'emploi
Role overview
Leigh & Co. Events is a rapidly expanding wedding planning business that supports engaged couples with wedding design, coordination, and planning. The Lead Wedding Coordinator role is a contract opportunity for someone who wants to work as a wedding planner. The company offers training, and the schedule is flexible so you can choose your own project availability. The role is intended for the 2026 season and beyond.
What you will do
In this position, you will act as the lead planner for weddings, with most of the work happening onsite. You will collaborate with client experience managers during planning and with assistant coordinators on event day to help deliver each wedding smoothly.
- Join the final details conversation with clients around six weeks before the wedding to verify logistics, timing, and overall expectations.
- Run the ceremony rehearsal the day before the wedding and make sure everyone understands the order, timing, and key cues.
- Represent the couple onsite by staying calm, solving problems, and supporting them through any unexpected issues.
- Supervise ceremony and reception setup so it matches the event design and the company’s day-of execution guide.
- Oversee the full wedding-day flow, from vendor arrival through the final breakdown in the evening.
- Welcome vendors, guide them onsite, and serve as the main contact person for all vendor communication.
- Give vendors clear setup directions so the event is carried out according to plan.
- Help place personal and event details such as escort cards, menus, table numbers, favors, guest books, and décor items.
- Support the wedding party and family members with timing reminders, direction, and other day-of assistance.
- Make sure end-of-event belongings such as gifts, guest books, and personal décor are packed up and accounted for.
- Handle last-minute changes or issues quickly to keep the guest experience running smoothly.
Compensation and schedule
This is a paid contract role. Compensation is $400 per project for approximately 10 to 12 hours of work. The schedule is flexible, and the selected coordinator can choose their own availability.
