About the role
This is a practical, outdoors-focused position supporting the systems that keep the community supplied with safe water and sewer services. The work changes from day to day and includes both planned jobs and urgent call-outs.
The council is looking for an energetic team member who is comfortable working with others and taking on a wide mix of tasks related to water and sewer reticulation.
What you'll do
You will assist with the building, upkeep, and repair of essential water and sewer infrastructure. The role covers installation and maintenance work involving pipelines, valves, hydrants, and related assets, as well as responding to emergency work when needed.
Essential criteria
- Hands-on experience using small plant equipment
- Willingness and availability to participate in a rotating on-call roster
- Current NSW driver's licence
- Valid White Card issued under the Work Health and Safety Construction Induction requirements
- Good understanding of metric measurements
- Proven ability to work well as part of a team

Additional details
Salary: $1,050.00 to $1,103.19 per week, plus 12% superannuation.
Employment status: Permanent full-time.
Working hours: 38 hours per week, with a rostered day off every second week.
