Information Tech Consultants Ltd (ITC) is a Central London-based IT management and consulting company that helps recruit subject-matter experts for different businesses. Its client focus includes software, cloud-hosted services, mobile app companies, and other service-led organizations.

This opening is for a Data Scientist role in the UK. It is a full-time, on-site position for candidates with 2–5 years of experience. Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Science, preferably in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline.

Only UK-based candidates who are legally authorised to work in the UK will be considered. The role also requires willingness to travel within the UK depending on project or client needs.

What the role involves

• Work with data sets to prepare, analyse, and interpret information for business use.
• Develop statistical and machine learning models and take them through the full lifecycle from coding to deployment.
• Use Python, SQL, and NoSQL tools confidently in day-to-day work.
• Contribute to solutions involving large-scale data, cloud technologies, NLP, computer vision, deep learning, and generative AI where relevant.
• Collaborate effectively with teams and support project delivery in a client-facing environment.

Skills and experience expected

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience working with datasets and building statistical or machine learning models.
• Strong practical knowledge of Python and SQL, with C++ also valued.
• Experience across the full model development process, including implementation and deployment.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Comfort working with large datasets.
• Project management experience is preferred.

Eligibility and qualifications

• Master’s degree is required in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Candidates should have 2–4 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Applicants must have valid work authorisation in the UK.
• Ability to travel within the UK as required by the client or project is necessary.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities are essential.
