Junior Data Analyst

Role Overview

We are looking for an early-career Junior Data Analyst who is detail-focused and comfortable working with data to help drive reporting, analytics, and business intelligence work. This position is well suited to recent graduates or professionals at the start of their careers who enjoy finding patterns in data and turning them into useful business insights.

Core Responsibilities

• Gather information from different sources, then clean, verify, and structure it so the data remains accurate and consistent.
• Examine datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and practical insights for the business.
• Create recurring reports, dashboards, and visual summaries for managers and other stakeholders.
• Help build and maintain business intelligence reports and performance measurement trackers.
• Support decisions with analytical findings and recommendations.
• Track key performance indicators and assist in monitoring overall business results.
• Carry out one-off analyses to support operations, finance, marketing, and strategy-related needs.
• Work with teams across functions to understand reporting needs and business objectives.
• Protect data quality and follow data governance practices.
• Contribute to automating reports and improving how data is collected and reported.
• Record data sources, analysis methods, and reporting workflows clearly.
• Keep up to date with analytics tools, techniques, and current industry practices.

Requirements

• Foundational understanding of data analysis, basic statistics, and reporting principles.
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, charts, and data handling.
• SQL knowledge for extracting and querying data is preferred.
• Experience with data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or similar tools is a plus.
• Basic familiarity with Python, R, or similar analytics tools is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to explain findings effectively.
• Comfort managing several tasks and meeting deadlines in a busy environment.
• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred.
