Janitor

Role Overview

We are looking for a Janitor to support the upkeep of assigned spaces within one building or across multiple client locations. This position involves general cleaning and preservation work, and the day-to-day tasks may vary based on each client’s needs. Flexibility and a service-minded approach are important in this role.

This opportunity is for a full-time schedule with morning hours, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The role pays $15.00 per hour and includes weekly pay.

What You Will Do

• Keep floors clean by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming as needed.
• Use chemical cleaning products and powered equipment carefully to avoid damage to surfaces and fixtures.
• Maintain restrooms, meeting spaces, hallways, and entry areas so they remain clean and presentable.
• Remove trash for proper disposal and operate compactors for approved materials when required.
• Clean windows, glass dividers, and mirrors with the right products and tools.
• Perform spot cleaning on carpets and help with carpet shampooing and extraction work.
• Restock paper goods and sanitation supplies.
• Work according to the housekeeping schedule provided.
• Use heavier cleaning equipment from time to time, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers.
• Take on other duties that fit the work scope or customer requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, or at least six months of prior janitorial-type experience.
• Training will be provided on the job.
• Strong attention to detail is needed.
• You must be able to understand and follow instructions well.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work.
• Familiarity with custodial routines and commercial cleaning expectations.
• Knowledge of floor care methods such as buffing and waxing.
• Background in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance.
