As the Implementation Specialist, you will own technical onboarding projects end to end. Your work will include helping new customers set up their Base.com account, connect their stores and marketplaces, and start realizing value from the platform right away. You will serve as a trusted guide throughout implementation and help ensure each customer reaches a smooth launch.

Responsibilities

  • Run implementation projects from start to finish for e-commerce customers in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria
  • Hold discovery conversations to understand client workflows, priorities, and business targets
  • Lead product demos, configure the platform, and support API-based connections with ERPs, shipping providers, and marketplaces
  • Deliver hands-on training and onboarding support for merchants
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Onboarding, and Support to maintain a strong customer experience
  • Investigate integration problems and partner with developers when technical help is required
  • Create repeatable templates, setup guides, and help-center content for implementation use
  • Support customer success by increasing adoption and helping clients get the most from Base.com

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in e-commerce implementation, SaaS onboarding, pre-sales, or solutions consulting
  • Background in ERP integrations, order management systems, or retail operations
  • Solid understanding of e-commerce processes, including logistics, product catalogs, and inventory control
  • Strong project coordination and stakeholder communication abilities
  • Fluency in German and good working knowledge of English
  • Comfortable using APIs, platform setup tools, or basic scripting such as PHP or JavaScript
  • Strong analytical mindset and the ability to find practical solutions, workarounds, and non-standard fixes independently

Preferred Experience

It would be an advantage to have:

  • Experience as a Sales Engineer, Customer Success Engineer, or Technical Account Manager
  • Exposure to e-commerce automation, shipping software, POS platforms, or CRM systems
  • Previous experience managing an online store
