Gelato Maker

About the role

Rivareno Gelato is looking for an enthusiastic and capable Gelato Maker to join its Bondi Beach team. The position is based at 2/124 Campbell Parade, Bondi Beach NSW 2026, Australia.

In this role, you will produce premium gelato using classic Italian methods and quality ingredients while supporting a fast-moving, hands-on production environment. The business values team members who are passionate about gelato, customer service, and long-term growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare gelato bases and mixtures in line with recipe specifications.
• Use and manage gelato production equipment safely and effectively.
• Track and control freezing and churning stages during production.
• Develop fresh flavour ideas and test ingredient combinations.
• Keep the production area clean and maintain hygiene and sanitation standards.

What we’re looking for

• Prior experience as a gelato maker or in a kitchen-based role.
• Working knowledge of gelato preparation methods and related machinery.
• Careful attention to detail and a genuine interest in making high-quality desserts.
• Comfort working in a busy, fast-paced setting.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with others.

Additional information

This is a physical, hands-on position. Applicants should be able to commit to a long-term role and be open to training and development. The schedule requires availability across weekdays and weekends.
