Role overview
Souq Waqif Boutique Hotel by Tivoli in Doha, Qatar is looking for an F&B Hostess to be the first point of contact for dining guests and help create a warm, polished, and efficient restaurant experience. The role sits within Minor Hotels, an international hospitality group with more than 530 properties across 50+ countries spanning Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, the Indian Ocean, Europe, and South America.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome guests on arrival and guide them to tables based on the restaurant layout.
- Keep guest satisfaction high by staying attentive to needs and responding quickly.
- Manage guest issues and complaints in a way that supports a positive outcome.
- Make routine table checks to ensure guests are comfortable and content.
- Process reservations and cancellations in line with department procedures.
- Relay reservation updates or cancellations to the management team.
- Assign tables ahead of time and accommodate special requests whenever possible.
- Keep the hostess station and dining space tidy and well arranged.
- Verify that tables are correctly set before service begins.
- Watch over the cleanliness and usability of equipment and supplies.
- Support other team members to keep restaurant operations running smoothly.
- Work closely with restaurant colleagues to deliver excellent service.
- Help foster a positive, cooperative, and productive team environment.
- Be willing to work across different F&B outlets as needed.
- Support cashiering tasks and assist in reconciling transactions.
- Take part in training sessions and complete additional duties assigned by management.
