Digital Designer

Role overview

A restaurant client is looking for a versatile Digital Designer to support the team on a temporary, as-needed basis. There is a possibility of moving into a permanent role for candidates based locally.

This position is remote, with preference for candidates located near Toronto. The expected workload is about 5 to 10 hours per week, depending on business requirements.

What you'll do

• Build email marketing campaigns using easy-to-use design tools.
• Create eye-catching graphics and visual assets for social media and other digital channels.
• Design print materials and support other special creative projects when required.
• Keep all creative output aligned with brand standards and a consistent visual style.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to clarify briefs, goals, and deliverables.
• Juggle several design assignments at once, often with short deadlines.
• Refine concepts and artwork in response to feedback and changing project needs.

What the client is looking for

• 3 to 5 years of experience in digital and graphic design.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating advanced work across both digital and print design.
• Hands-on proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Previous experience using drag-and-drop email design platforms.
• Comfort working under pressure, meeting tight deadlines, and handling uneven workloads.
• Familiarity with designing for a regional audience, ideally Ontario.
• Strong communication and organization abilities.
• Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and evolving project scopes.
• Openness to an in-person arrangement if the role becomes permanent.

Additional details

This opportunity is intended for freelance/contract support. The role is remote, but local candidates are preferred, and future permanent conversion is only being considered for local applicants. Weekly hours may vary based on demand.
