Description de l'emploi
Role Overview
This contract DevOps role is based in Singapore and focuses on building reliable, portable platform infrastructure, automating system operations, and supporting a production IRM environment for the Singpass pilot. The position combines Kubernetes platform work, Go-based backend tooling, frontend dashboard development, and day-to-day operational support.
Infrastructure, CI/CD and Portability
- Deploy, configure, and run platform services on enterprise Kubernetes through Helm-based delivery.
- Design infrastructure so it remains portable and can be moved cleanly across separate Kubernetes clusters.
- Create and improve CI/CD pipelines that support safe, automated, and repeatable deployments.
Tooling and Backend Automation
- Develop and maintain platform utilities, custom operators, and backend logic using Golang only.
- Work within a Go-first environment for systems engineering, automation, and DevOps tooling.
- This role is not suitable for candidates who depend on Node.js-based tooling such as npm or pnpm for system administration, backend work, or infrastructure automation.
Frontend Execution and Observability
- Build and refine localized IRM dashboard features with TypeScript and pnpm.
- Collaborate with the Product Manager to convert design direction into working UI components.
- Strengthen the platform’s monitoring, logging, and alerting so service health stays visible at all times.
- Handle BAU operational tasks and participate in on-call rotations to maintain service stability for the Singpass pilot.
Engineering Governance and Delivery Rhythm
- Take part in weekly sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Follow team governance practices by reading, discussing, and contributing to RFCs and ADRs.
- Maintain a high standard of engineering quality through clear documentation and thorough testing.
Required Background
The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in software systems, Linux internals, networking protocols, and cloud-native architecture. Practical familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, and Helm is expected, along with strong coding discipline and an emphasis on clean, well-tested work.
Additional Notes
Success in this environment requires comfort with a tightly defined technical stack: Golang for system-level work, and TypeScript with pnpm for frontend dashboard development. The role also expects active participation in operational support, team rituals, and engineering documentation practices.
