Description de l'emploi
Role overview
Primeline Group is hiring a commercially minded Demand Planner to take responsibility for forecasting and demand planning across a range of categories and brands. In this position, you will connect Brand Partners with Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to make sure demand plans reflect market potential, customer needs, and wider business goals.
You will play an important part in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle, helping improve service levels, optimise inventory, and support long-term business growth. The role suits someone who enjoys working with data, combining commercial judgement with analysis, and collaborating across teams to shape business outcomes.
Demand forecasting and planning
You will be responsible for owning and maintaining forecasts for assigned categories, customers, and channels. The role includes analysing sales patterns, promotions, seasonal trends, market intelligence, and customer feedback to strengthen forecast quality.
You will also support new product introductions, promotional plans, and range reviews with solid forecasting input, while spotting risks and opportunities and suggesting practical actions to improve performance. Ongoing refinement of forecasting methods, reports, and planning tools will also be part of the job.
Stakeholder and commercial collaboration
As the main point of contact for Brand Partners on forecasting and planning matters, you will work closely with Commercial, Category, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to keep demand plans aligned with business priorities.
Part of the role involves turning commercial plans and market opportunities into workable forecasts, leading monthly demand review meetings, contributing to the broader S&OP process, and assisting with budgeting, financial forecasting, and business planning activities.
Performance monitoring and insight
You will track and report key planning measures such as forecast accuracy, forecast bias, service levels, inventory health, and OTIF performance. This includes reviewing forecast differences, identifying root causes, and highlighting opportunities for improvement.
The role also requires building reports and dashboards in Excel and Power BI to support decision-making, and providing clear data-led recommendations to both stakeholders and senior leadership.
Supply and inventory optimisation
You will partner with Supply Planning and Operations to ensure forecasts can be delivered effectively. The position also involves supporting inventory optimisation initiatives and helping manage supply constraints through proactive demand insight.
In addition, you will monitor inventory performance and flag any risks that could affect product availability or customer service.
Requirements
This position calls for 3 to 4 years of experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, S&OP, Commercial Planning, or a related function. You should have a solid grasp of demand planning principles and forecasting methods, along with strong analytical ability and the confidence to turn data into practical recommendations.
Experience with planning systems such as SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or similar tools is required, as well as advanced Excel and Power BI skills. Strong communication skills, stakeholder management ability, and experience working cross-functionally with Commercial, Finance, and Supply Chain teams are also essential.
Knowledge of the Irish Grocery and Convenience Retail market is expected. Experience in FMCG or Consumer Goods, direct work with retailers and Brand Partners, and a track record of improving forecast accuracy or supporting product launches, promotional planning, and category growth are desirable.
Why join us
This role offers the chance to work with leading brands, influence important commercial decisions, and make a measurable contribution to business performance. You will gain broad exposure across the organisation and work in a collaborative, fast-moving environment that values continuous improvement.
