Role Overview

This position sits within the Research, Strategic Data Initiatives team and reports to the Project Manager, MoBI. The work involves supporting research and clinical projects through data handling, analysis, and multimodal laboratory methods. These methods may include functional and structural MRI, EEG, physiological measurements such as actigraphy, heart rate, and respiration, as well as computer-based tasks, eye-tracking, and ecological assessments.

This is a full-time, exempt role based in New York City and follows a hybrid arrangement. The role requires being in the office at least four days per week, with the exact schedule set by the supervisor. The in-office expectation may change depending on program and organizational needs.

Key Work Areas

• Provide programming support for scientific and clinical projects, especially for data preparation and analysis.
• Build, maintain, and improve data quality assurance and curation processes.
• Evaluate data-processing and feature-generation workflows and assist with refinements.
• Help manage and update multimodal databases.
• Assist with literature reviews for scientific work.
• Participate in team meetings and present updates when needed.
• Contribute to manuscript development for peer-reviewed publication.
• Support collection of imaging, physiological, and behavioral data for assigned studies.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in clinical and/or research settings.
• Working knowledge of one or more programming languages such as Matlab, R, or Python.
