Key Duties
- Prepare and organize the station according to restaurant standards before service begins.
- Cook menu items promptly and in a sanitary manner.
- Follow approved recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines.
- Replenish supplies and ingredients during the shift as needed.
- Keep the station clean, safe, and well organized throughout service.
- Use and care for kitchen equipment correctly.
- Help maintain cleanliness and order in kitchen areas, walk-in coolers, and storage spaces.
- Take on other kitchen-related tasks assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Manager.
Skills and Experience
- Strong enthusiasm for cooking and hospitality.
- Solid grasp of professional cooking methods and knife techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling.
- At least 2 years of experience as a prep cook or line cook.
- Ability to follow instructions and work cooperatively.
- Comfortable performing well in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting.
- Dedication to quality service and menu knowledge.
- Physical ability to bend, stoop, lift, reach, push, twist, walk, crouch, and squat.
- Can stand for long periods while preparing and cooking food.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
