Role summary

The Configuration Analyst will be responsible for keeping product configuration data accurate, supporting sales order configuration, and ensuring that configuration-related processes run smoothly across teams. The role involves coordinating with multiple internal stakeholders, maintaining key documents and databases, validating configuration changes, and supporting production and planning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain product configuration specifications and improve the accuracy of sales order configuration.
• Track and update performance metrics used for configuration-related work.
• Coordinate with cross-functional partners such as Marketing, Sales, NPI, Special Coordinator, Engineering Services, Order Administration, Manufacturing, Master Scheduling, and VC Modelers.
• Lead meetings and oversee PCS documents including KMAT models, KMAT Phantoms, KMAT BOMs, pricing details, configuration rules, and product descriptions.
• Confirm that new materials and BOMs are created correctly and that configuration data is accurate before Variant Configurator modelling; structure PCS data within SAP as required.
• Partner with VC Modelers to keep configuration information accurate and verify changes in SAP and the production environment by preparing quotes for testing.
• Run order review meetings and ensure sales orders are configured correctly.
• Maintain the C point database and support weekly MRP loading with accurate data.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, a technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in order configuration, document control, or engineering/planning roles is considered an advantage.
• Working knowledge of MRP processes and common business software such as MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, SAP, and Power BI is preferred.
• Strong analytical ability along with clear communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working in a team, taking initiative, handling pressure, and acting with urgency.
• Able to adapt quickly to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Capable of enforcing configuration management policies in a firm and effective manner.
