Chief Technology Officer

Role overview

A long-established financial services group based in Jeddah is looking for a Chief Technology Officer to define and steer its technology and digital transformation agenda as the business enters a five-year expansion phase. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role will shape the technology direction of the organisation and help evolve it into a more technology-driven financial services enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Create and put into action a technology and digital strategy that supports the company’s wider business goals.
• Lead transformation initiatives that modernise both technology and operational processes across the organisation.
• Introduce AI, automation, robotics, and other emerging tools to raise efficiency and enhance the customer journey.
• Direct the rollout of new platforms, systems, and digital capabilities.
• Establish, grow, and guide a strong technology team.
• Work in close partnership with the CEO, Executive Committee, and Board on strategic technology programmes.
• Ensure that cybersecurity, technology governance, and business continuity arrangements are fit for long-term growth.
• Promote a business-wide mindset of innovation and ongoing improvement.

Qualifications and experience

The ideal candidate will bring at least 12 years of leadership experience in technology, including a minimum of 5 years in a C-level position such as CIO, CTO, Chief Digital Officer, or a similar executive role. A successful background in delivering large-scale digital transformation programmes is essential, along with hands-on experience implementing AI, automation, and modern digital platforms. Strong commercial judgement and the ability to connect technology decisions to business outcomes are also important. Experience in financial services, FinTech, or other regulated sectors is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required.
